For existing or new traders looking to acquire a professional level of competency for trading on global markets, the ZISHI Level 5 Advanced Diploma in Financial Trading is the perfect choice.

Entry Requirements

Applicants must be 16 years and over. There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification, although it is recommended that learners have:

• an interest in the financial services sector and
• hold a Maths GCSE at Grade A-C (or equivalent) or higher.

Initial assessments will be conducted to ensure applicants can produce evidence to the required educational standard.

What modules are included in the qualification?

Level 5 Advanced Diploma in Financial Trading

Modules:

1. Financial Markets and Operations

Learners will develop the knowledge and skills to understand and analyse how the financial markets operate, while summarising the economic history and how it impacts on today’s markets. They will learn how to explain the supply and demand within current economics and be able to define financial technical analysis. Students will also learn how to compare different analysis chart types and evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of market analysis.

2. Financial Products and Associated Risk

Learners will develop a sound knowledge of the different types of financial products and the risk associated with them. They will also understand how to trade bonds, foreign exchange, commodities and assess the factors that could influence risk. Students will cultivate an understanding of the short-term interest rates and the index markets and how these influence trading.

3. Financial Trading Techniques

Learners will develop a deeper proficiency of knowledge, understanding and skills to be able to trade, while learning how to keep a daily diary of the markets’ behaviours. They will learn how to evaluate the pricing support and resistance that creates the supply and demand. They will also be mentored in their own trading behaviour and produce a personal development plan for continued improvement.

With over 20 years’ experience in finance, Rob’s trading roots have seen him traverse a variety of senior roles. He went onto develop OSTC Group’s educational arm of the business and the first-ever regulated, portfolio evidenced, Level 5 Advanced Diploma in Financial Trading. Rob’s current position sees him developing new qualification programmes and overseeing relationships with Universities, Colleges, Schools and Professional Sports Governing Bodies.

Jon holds a wealth of trading experience dating back to the mid-1980s, starting out at BNP and JP Morgan before becoming an independent trader on London’s LIFFE exchange. After the closure of ‘the pits’, Jon made a successful transition to electronic trading where he adapted his style to suit the new format of trading. Most of his career has been spent trading Government Bond Futures and Equity Indices, while in recent years his speciality has shifted over into STIR products. For the last decade, Jon has become more and more involved with trader education, writing courses, webinars and presentations. He particularly enjoys educating new traders and helping them navigate the path from novice to self- sustained trader.
