Sue Turner is dedicated to using her expertise in AI and data governance and ethics to inspire people and organisations to use AI with wisdom and integrity.  She is rated in the World’s Top 100 Women in AI Ethics and was one of the first 14 people globally to be accredited in the Foundations of Independent Audit of AI systems. 

With both a Law degree and an MSc in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, she established AI Governance Limited in 2020 to advise businesses and policy makers on pragmatic AI, data ethics and governance issues and making a positive societal impact.   

She is Board Chair and Non-Executive Director for purpose-driven businesses in regulated industries and a Mentor on the Turing Institute’s Skills Policy Awards.  Her career spans entrepreneurial private businesses and not-for-profit organisations where she has led significant organisational growth, raised £27 million for charity and collaborated to shift power to help people improve their prospects.  She was awarded the OBE in 2021 for Services to Social Justice.   

Philippa has over 40 years of experience in financial services and is a founding Partner of FSTP, now part of ZISHI. For the past 16 years, she has worked closely with firms to navigate regulatory change, with a strong focus on SMCR and Consumer Duty. She has supported firms and boards in implementing and embedding regulatory requirements while coaching senior leaders on their responsibilities, governance, and accountability.

Before joining FSTP, Philippa was Head of Learning for Barclays Direct Channels, giving her firsthand experience in leading major functions within a regulated entity. Her background in sales also brings a strong customer focus and business awareness, which clients greatly value. She has led major change projects across financial services, helping senior management teams drive performance improvements aligned with business strategies.

A proponent of blended learning, Philippa has developed innovative training solutions combining eLearning, podcasts, testing, and in-person sessions. She regularly writes for financial services publications on Training & Competence, SMCR, and Consumer Duty. Philippa is also a qualified Executive Business Coach and holds the DipPFS, Financial Planning Certificate, Certificate in Mortgage Practice, and other professional qualifications.
